Buffalo State slipped past Potsdam, 1-0, today at Coyer Field as the Bengals scored early in the game and held on for the victory.

Matt Ketchum (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) provided all the offense the Bengals would need just 5:55 into the contest when he scored on a pass from Richard Namulala (Kenmore/Kenmore West). Goalkeeper Shawn McDonell (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) preserved the one-goal advantage the rest of the way, as he made six saves for his fourth shutout of the season. Buffalo State out shot Potsdam 21-9 for the game.

The Bengals improved to 10-1-2 overall and 4-1 in SUNYAC play. Buffalo State will host Plattsburgh, ranked eighth in the nation, tomorrow on Towers Field at 1 p.m.
