Men's Soccer Falls to Cortland, First Loss of the Season
Buffalo State was defeated by Cortland, 2-1, today, ending their unbeaten streak this season.
After a scoreless first half, Matt Daum (New Paltz/New Paltz) netted a goal for the Red Dragons, allowing his team to jump out in front. Daum found the net again, putting Cortland up by two in the closing minutes of the game. The Bengals fought back and decreased the lead to one, after a shot by Derek O‘Brien (Grand Island/Grand Island) found the back of the net. That would be the only marker for the Bengals.
Buffalo State falls to 9-1-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Bengals will host Potsdam this Friday at 4 p.m.
