Men's Soccer Tops SUNYIT in Overtime, 3-2
Clint Holcomb's (Clifton Springs/Victor) header in overtime gave Buffalo State (5-2/2-0) a 3-2 vicory over visiting SUNYIT (1-5/0-2) in a SUNYAC game today at Coyer Field.
The Bengals opened a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals by Amadu Barrie (New York/MLK) in the opening 10 minutes of the game. The Wildcats roared back with two goals of their own in the opening half.
After a scoreless second half, Holcomb scored 3:41 into overtime, heading a crossing ball from Prisco Houndanon (Togo, W. Africa). Buffalo State outshot SUNYIT 21-8 for the game and had the only shot of the overtime.
Buffalo State will host Pitt-Bradford in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
