Men's Swimming and Diving Team Recognized for Academic Excellence
Buffalo State's men's swimming and diving team was recently recognized as an Academic All-America Team by the College Swim Coaches Association of America.
Of the 103 eligible programs from Divisions I, II and III, the Bengals ranked sixth in the nation as Mark Beyer, Paul Glieco, Matt Helming, Dan Hoefert, Tommy Schilke, Brett Stodolka and Erik Yuhnke combined for a 3.38 grade point average. Buffalo State was the only team in the SUNYAC to qualify for this honor.
"While we look for top-caliber performances in the pool, we also expect the same in the classroom," said head coach Mike Switalski. "It was very rewarding to end the season with this type of recognition."
