Mikolaichik Named ACFC Offensive Player of the Week

Buffalo State quarterback Mike Mikolaichik (Hilton/Hilton) was named the Atlantic Central Football Conference (ACFC) Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Bengals' 26-0 win at Plymouth State on Saturday.

Mikolaichik played a part in all three Bengals' touchdowns in the win, as he ran for scores of five and 51 yards and threw a 49-yard touchdown pass. The junior finished the game 17-for-29 for 183 yards, and was also the team's leading rusher with 94 yards on eight carries.

David Barabas (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) and Michael Holbok (Williamsville/Williamsville North) were also recognized by the conference. Barabas was named to the Defensive Honor Roll after making eight tackles, including two sacks and four tackles for loss. Holbok was named to the Special Teams Honor Roll after blocking his team-best third punt of the season.
