Moseley Leads Women's Basketball Past Brockport, 66-56

BUFFALO, NY—Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Buffalo State (7-12/4-6) past visiting Brockport (9-9/5-5), 66-56, tonight in a SUNYAC contest at the Sports Arena.

Buffalo State took a 15-6 lead to open the game and never trailed in the game. After a 30-26 halftime advantage, the Bengals extended their lead to as many as 15 in the second stanza. Brockport rallied to within five at 52-47 with 4:25 remaining, but it would come no closer. Buffalo State outrebounded the Golden Eagles 39-28, and scored 19 points off of 20 Brockport turnovers.

Moseley connected on 7 of 14 shots from the field and was 7 of 10 from the charity stripe. Shareese Hamer (Erie, PA/Strong Vincent) added 12 points. Toya Parks (Brooklyn/MLK) had seven points, four assists and seven steals.

Katie Marcella (Schenectady/Guilderland) led Brockport with 18 points and eight rebounds. Ashley Broadhurst (Sauquoit/Utica-Notre Dame) added 14 points, seven boards and four assists.

The Bengals will visit Oswego on Friday at 6 p.m.
