New Paltz Blanks Women's Soccer, 2-0
NEW PALTZ, NY--New Paltz (4-3-1/2-0-1) peppered Buffalo State's (2-7/0-3) goal with 30 shots in a 2-0 victory in SUNYAC contest today in New Paltz.
The Hawks opened the scoring in 35th minute and added an insurance goal in hte 89th minute. New Paltz maintained a 30-7 advantage in shots and held a 6-1 edge in corner kicks. Buffalo State's Katie Melsert (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) made 16 saves to keep the Bengals in the game.
Buffalo State will host SUNYIT next Friday at 4 p.m. in search of its first conference win of the season.
