Buffalo State students learned a lot from mock field sobriety tests offered by University Police, as WIVB Channel 4 reported. Paula Madrigal, coordinator of health education programs, told reporter Bryan Shaw, "One of the things that we want students to be aware of is the personal responsibility that is involved when you choose to be involved in alcohol, whether it's going to a party with friend or drinking yourself." University Police officers used goggles that simulated different alcohol levels so that students could see for themselves how alcohol affected their behavior.
The event was part of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week.
