Gerard Puccio, chair and professor of the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State offered his expertise in a recent Time magazine special edition, “The Science of Creativity.”
The magazine takes a look at creativity in a number of different areas, including the mind, in action and at various ages.
Puccio discussed teaching and student creativity in the edition, telling the author, “Many K-12 schools and universities across the country are experimenting with innovative teaching methods to foster greater creativity in their students, motivated by global competition and the realities of the ever-changing workforce.”
Alumna Ismet Mamnoon, ’13, also commented for the article, describing the role creativity has played in her life as “like someone had turned on a light in a part of my brain that I hadn't even known was in darkness."
