North Central Dominates Women's Basketball

ORLANDO, Fla.--North Central (5-4) handed Buffalo State (3-6) its worst loss in more than 10 years, trouncing the Bengals 83-42 tonight in the first round of the RDV Sportsplex Tournament in Orlando, Fla.

The Cardinals opened the game with a 21-6 run and led 38-21 at the half. The Bengals could not close the gap in the second stanza as North Central pulled away to seal the decisive victory. Buffalo State committed 30 turnovers, compared to just 13 by North Central. The 41-point loss marked the Bengals' worst defeat since 1995.

Junior Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) led Buffalo State with a career-high 20 points, hitting 6 of 9 from the field and 8 of 10 from the charity stripe. Moseley became the 25th player in school history to surpass the 600-career point mark.

The Bengals will face Pitt-Greensburg in Wednesday's consolation game at 6 p.m.
