ONEONTA, NY—Oneonta (6-5/1-1) scored seven consecutive goals in a span of 6:42 late in the second half to overtake visiting Buffalo State (7-2/0-2), 15-13, in a SUNYAC game today.

Shantel Ackley (Baldwinsville/CW Baker) and Katie Lyons (Williamsville/Williamsville North) led the Bengals with four goals apiece. Stephanie Georgopolous (Pt. Jefferson Station/Comsewogue) added two goals and an assist, Meagan Powers (Pearl River/Pearl River) scored twice, and Kember Greco (Southampton/Southampton) added a single marker for Buffalo State.

Oneonta scored twice in the final minute of the first half to take an 8-7 at the intermission, but Buffalo State netted the first four goals of the second half to regain the advantage. The Red Dragons ripped off the next seven strikes, however, before Buffalo State scored twice in 13 seconds with just over a minute to play. Unfortunately for the Bengals, it was too little too late.

Oneonta outshot the Bengals 45-32 in the game. Tara Ammerman (Naples/Marcus Whitman) made 15 saves in goal for Buffalo State.

Buffalo State will look to snap its two-game losing skid when it hosts Brockport on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
