Philharmonia, Chamber Choir, and Chorale Concert, May 4
"Chichester Psalms" by Leonard Bernstein and "Serenade to Music" by Vaughan Williams to be performed.
Composed of Buffalo State faculty and students, area professional musicians, local music educators, and community enthusiasts, the Buffalo State Philharmonia made its debut in fall 2009. For its final concert of the spring 2010 semester, the Philharmonia plays two rarely performed pieces, Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" and Williams's "Serenade to Music."
The Philharmonia is conducted by Maestro Paul Ferington. Vocals are under the direction of Victoria Furby and John Fleischman.
This free concert takes place Tuesday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.
