Planetarium Holds Special Mars Viewings

Buffalo State College's Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium will hold special Mars viewings on Friday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 12 with the Red Planet as close to Earth as it has been in 60,000 years.

Open to the public, the viewing will be held (weather permitting) from 9:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. on the east side of the Science Building off Iroquois Drive. Parking is in Lot S-1.

A variety of telescopes will be available, according to Art Gielow, director of the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium.
