Plattsburgh Snaps Men's Hockey Hot Streak, 6-1

PLATTSBURGH, NY—Buffalo State’s (9-9-2/3-5-1) school-record seven-game unbeaten streak came to a crashing halt tonight with a 6-1 loss at Plattsburgh (9-6-5) at Stafford Arena.

Buffalo State trailed 4-0 entering the third period before finally scoring at the 11:37 mark. Jason Hill (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored with assists from D’Arcy Thomas (Gatineau, PQ/Philemon Wright) and Connor King (Brentwood, TN/Brentwood). Plattsburgh added two goals in the final three minutes of the game to complete the scoring.

The Cardinals took advantage of nine man-advantage opportunities, scoring five power-play goals, and held Buffalo State off the scoreboard on its two power-play chances. Plattsburgh outshot Buffalo State 37-32 in the game.

Buffalo State will host Cortland on Friday at 7 p.m.
