Potsdam Drops Men's Basketball, 97-81

POTSDAM, NY--Edane Barton scored 26 points to lead Potsdam (13-9/8-5) past visiting Buffalo State (12-11/6-8), 97-81, in a SUNYAC game tonight at Jerry Welsh Gymnasium.

The Bears never trailed and sprinted to a 55-36 halftime advantage. Potsdam led by as many as 32 points in the second frame, before settling for the 16-point victory. Potsdam shot 51.6-percent from the field, including 12 of 21 (57.1-percent) from three-point range for the game.

Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) led Buffalo State with 20 points. Jobany Tirado (Syracuse/Corcoran) had 17 points and 11 rebounds. Gregg Jones (Syracuse/Nottingham) added 12 points and Dante Griggs (Bronx/Chester Academy) had 11.

Buffalo State will play at Plattsburgh tomorrow at 4 p.m.
