Potsdam Races Past Men's Basketball, 94-76

BUFFALO, NY—Potsdam (7-8/4-2) shot 59-percent from the field and 50-percent from 3-point range in a 94-76 victory over host Buffalo State (9-5/4-2) in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Sports Arena.

Tim Reinhardt (Hilton/Hilton) and Anthony Williams Jr. (Brentwood/Upper Room Christian) each scored 20 points to lead the Bears. Reinhardt added six assists. Brendan Graney (Ticonderoga/Ticonderoga) chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds, and Damon Brown (Staten Island/Port Richmond) had 12 points and five assists.

John Lawal (Hempstead/Uniondale) led Buffalo State with 16 points and six rebounds. Bubba Wood (Brooklyn/Abraham Lincoln) and DJ Nubine-Mitchell (Marina, CA/Seaside) each scored 12 points.

Potsdam led 44-34 at halftime, and then used a 19-3 run to open the second half to race out to a 28-point advantage. The Bears never let the Bengals closer than 17 from there. Potsdam hit 9 of 18 from 3-point territory for the game.

Buffalo State will look for win No. 1,000 as a varsity program tomorrow when it hosts Plattsburgh at 4 p.m.
