Romano, Namulala Earn All-Region Soccer Honors

Buffalo State men's soccer players Matt Romano (Eden/Eden) and Richard Namulala (Kenmore/Kenmore West) were named All-Northeast Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Romano was a Second Team selection as a defender. He anchored the Bengals' defense that surrendered just 18 goals against in 18 games. A First Team All-SUNYAC player, the senior finished his career with six goals and seven assists, totaling 19 career points.

Namulala earned Third Team All-Region status. Also a First Team All-SUNYAC honoree, the junior midfielder finished the season as the Bengals' leading scorer with 10 goals and four assists, totaling for 24 points.

Buffalo State assembled its finest season in 20 years as it posted an 11-5-2 overall record and made its first SUNYAC postseason appearance since 1998.
