United Students Government (USG) has scheduled a diverse lineup for Springfest 2009, Friday, May 1, at the Sports Arena. Hip-hop experimentalists Gym Class Heroes headline a sold-out show that includes support from The Dream and Day 26.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.

Hailing from Geneva, New York, Gym Class Heroes has earned critical raves for its blending of hip-hop, funk, and rock. The group's latest effort, The Quilt, debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. The group recently completed a stint as the support act for Lil' Wayne's national tour.

R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Terius Youngdell Nash (better known as The Dream) has recently made a splash on the charts with a new album, Love Vs. Money, and hit single "Rockin' That Thang."

The members of concert openers Day 26 are no strangers to fans of the hit MTV reality show "Making the Band 4." While the group members were well known for their on-set volatility, the efforts in the recording studio were equally explosive. Day 26's self-titled debut reached number one on the Billboard charts.

Springfest is sponsored by USG and funded through the mandatory student activity fee.
