Swimming and Diving Men and Women Win at Penn State Behrend

Buffalo State men's and women's swimming and diving teams broke three Penn State Behrend pool records tonight as the men defeated the Lions 119-98, while the women won 146-79.

For the women, divers Nicole Rutkowski (Williamsville/Williamsville North) and Amanda Dory (Amherst/Sweet Home) each set new pool bests. Rutkowski set the pool standard on the one-meter board with an NCAA provisional qualifying score of 275.50, also breaking her own Buffalo State record. Dory's pool best came on the three-meter board with a score of 217.95.

For the men, it was Rich Gaczewski (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) in the 1,650 free with pool record time of 18:44.75.

Both teams improved to 2-1 on the season. The women will compete at William Smith tomorrow.
