Swimming and Diving Splits With Brockport; Stoklosa Breaks Records

BUFFALO, NY--Buffalo State's Kelly Stoklosa (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) set a new school and Kissinger Pool record in the 200-yard breast today as the Bengals hosted Brockport in a dual meet. Buffalo State won 128-91 on the women's side, but lost 123-108 in the men's competition.

Stoklosa highlighted the docket on the women's side, shattering the 15-year old school record (2:35.70), winning the 200-yard breast in 2:32.27. Sarah Garasz (Lancaster/Lancaster), Mindy Wood (Rushville/Marcus Whitman), and Amanda Dory (Amherst/Sweet Home) were all double winners for the Bengals. Garasz won the 100-yard free (59.09) and the 50-yard free (27.58). Wood captured the 1,000-yard free (11:32.82) and the 500-yard free (5:36.96). Dory swept the diving events, claiming the one-meter (225.30) and three-meter (194.95) competitions.

On the men's side, Rich Gaczewski (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) touched first in the 400-yard IM (4:42.17) and in the 200-yard fly (2:11.72). Kevin Buisman (Penfield/Penfield) also won the 200-yard back (2:10.00) for the Bengals.

The meet was the final tune-up of the season for Buffalo State before the SUNYAC Championships at ECC's Flickinger Center on Feb. 8-11.
