Track and Field Competes at Rochester Invitational

Buffalo State had several impressive individual showings at the non-team scored University of Rochester Alumni Invitational today.

A pair of first place finished highlighted the men's competition for the Bengals. Richard Harris (Rochester/Hilton) won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15:05, and Ken Ciolek (Limestone/Bradford Area) won the javelin with a throw of 50.12 meters. Todd Wassinger (Sanborn/Starpoint) broke his own record in the hammer throw, finishing fourth with a distance of 49.96 meters. Joe Woolley (Amherst/Sweet Home) added a fifth place finish in the triple jump at 12.67 meters.

Jenelle Orosz (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) turned in the top performance on the women's side, placing second in the high jump, clearing 1.59 meters.

Buffalo State will compete at Slippery Rock University next Saturday.
