Volleyball Drops a Pair at North Country Invite

Buffalo State dropped a pair of matches in the opening day of the North Country Invitational in Clarkson today, falling 3-0 to Plattsburgh in the opener, and then 3-0 to Clarkson in the late match.

Plattsburgh downed the Bengals 30-21, 30-25 and 30-28 in the first match. Jen Breier (Grand Island/Grand Island) led Buffalo State with 13 kills and nine digs, and Sam Damstetter (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) added 11 kills and six digs.

In the late match, Clarkson proved too strong, topping Buffalo State by scores of 30-9, 30-11 and 30-24. Damstetter recorded eight kills and four digs, and Breier had six kills and one block.

Buffalo State fell to 1-6 overall. The Bengals will continue at the North Country Invitational tomorrow.
