Volleyball Loses Twice to Open Pool Play
Buffalo State (0-17/0-2) lost a pair of three-game matches tonight to open the first round of SUNYAC Pool Play in Geneseo, falling to the host school and Brockport.
Geneseo defeated the Bengals in the opening match, 30-28, 30-18 and 30-13. Sam Damstetter (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East)led the Bengals with seven kills and 13 digs. Nicole Gurski (E. Amherst/Williamsville North) had 16 assists.
Brockport took the second match, 30-18, 30-9 and 30-20. Damstetter had five kills and 11 digs.
Buffalo State will face Fredonia tomorrow at 10 a.m. and will play Oswego at 2 p.m.
