Buffalo State (0-14) dropped a pair of three-game matches in the consolation round of the RIT Invite today, losing to Clarkson and University of Rochester.

Clarkson defeated the Bengals 30-23, 30-14 and 31-29 in the opener. Jen Breier (Grand Island/Grand Island) had 11 kills, Sam Damstetter (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) had 12 digs, and Nicole Gurski (E. Amherst/Williamsville North) had 23 assists.

In the second match, Rochester topped Buffalo State 30-19, 30-20 and 30-17. Breier and Keri Bumgardner (Babylon/W. Babylon) had 10 kills each for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will visit Penn State Behrend on Tuesday.
