Buffalo State volleyball player Krista Wierzbicki (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) broke the Bengals' record for assists in a season as she tallied a career-high 81 in a five-game match against Fredonia, bringing her career total to 1,170. The previous school record was 1,166 by Christy Singleton in 1997.

The senior setter also holds Buffalo State's career record for assists with 3,679 as a four-year starter. She will wrap up her collegiate career this weekend when she leads the Bengals at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
