Women's Basketball Beats New Paltz, 58-55

BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (5-7/3-1) edged New Paltz (4-7/1-3) 58-55 tonight in a SUNYAC contest at the Sports Arena.

The Bengals led 29-20 at halftime, but New Paltz rallied in the second half. The Hawks led by one on a pair of occasions in the second half, but Buffalo State managed to pull out the three-point victory.

Desi Gibson (Rochester/Edison Tech) led four Bengals in double-figures with 11 points and added eight rebounds. Tawan Slaughter (Buffalo/Christian Central), Jacey Brooks (Machias/Franklinville) and Monique Hanks (Liverpool/Liverpool) all scored 10 points for the Bengals.

Sandra Glazewski (Dobbs Ferry/Dobbs Ferry) led the Hawks with 24 points and seven rebounds, and Kerri Kelty (Valley Stream/Valley Stream) added 14 points.

Buffalo State will travel to Geneseo Tuesday evening for a 6 p.m. tip-off. New Paltz will visit Fredonia tomorrow afternoon.
