Women's Basketball Bests SUNYIT, 67-53

BUFFALO, NY—Freshman Darnika Moseley's (Liverpool/Liverpool) double-double 16 points and 12 rebounds led Buffalo State (11-11/9-4) past SUNYIT (4-18/2-11), 67-53, tonight at the Sports Arena.

Buffalo State opened up a 34-24 lead and never looked back as it cruised to the 14-point victory. Jacey Brooks (Machais/Franklinville) scored 12 points for the Bengals. Monique Hanks (Liverpool/Liverpool) added 10 points and seven rebounds, and Beth Hogan (Great Valley/Salamanca) chipped in seven points and a career-high nine assists.

SUNYIT's Jessica Skelton (Camden, NY) scored 23 points on 12-of-12 free throw shooting, but just 4-of-20 from the field. Skelton added 10 rebounds. Krista Hess (Canton, NY) added 17 points for the Wildcats.

Buffalo State will host Geneseo on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
