Women's Basketball Explodes Past Potsdam, 86-78

POTSDAM, NY--Buffalo State (8-15/5-9) turned in its biggest offensive output of the season tonight en route to an 86-78 victory over host Potsdam (2-20/2-11) in a SUNYAC game at Jerry Welsh Gymnasium.

After being knotted at 40-40 at halftime, Buffalo State pulled ahead and claimed the victory in the second stanza. The Bengals shot 51.9-percent from the field as the starters scored 81 of the team's 86 points.

Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) led the Bengals with her 16th career double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Toya Parks (Brooklyn/MLK) was the top-scorer with 20 points. Gina Apa (Buffalo/McKinley) added 17 points. Ashley Dlugosz (Lackawanna/Immaculata) had a career-high 15 points, and Tammie Lentz (Erie, PA/Central) added 10.

Buffalo State will play at Plattsburgh tomorrow at 2 p.m.
