BUFFALO, NY—Jessica Tremblay (Colonie/Colonie) had 17 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks and six steals as visiting Oswego (11-2/5-0) survived a scare from Buffalo State (4-9/1-4), 66-64, in a SUNYAC game today at the Sports Arena.

Heather Merino (Queensbury/Lake George) added 18 points for the Lakers, and Alaina Hannahs (Johnstown/Johnstown) had six assists off the bench.

Jacey Brooks (Machias/Franklinville) led Buffalo State with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) also had a double-double, the 23rd of her career, with 13 points and 10 boards. Shareese Hamer (Erie, PA/Strong Vincent) chipped in 10 points.

Buffalo State jumped out to a 20-5 lead midway through the first half, but the Lakers responded with a 15-0 run over a span of 5:02 to even the score. Oswego continued to apply the pressure and sprinted to the intermission with a 32-25 lead. The Bengals held on in the second half, and closed the gap to 65-64 with the ball with 11 seconds to play. Buffalo State threw the ball out of bounds on the tying attempt, however, and Oswego added a late free throw. The Bengals committed 31 turnovers in the game.

Buffalo State will travel to Ithaca for a non-conference game on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
