Buffalo State faced Messiah (PA) today in the second day of the Elizabethtown (PA) Blue Jay Classic, and the No. 16 team in the nation proved too strong, as the Bengals fell 67-53.

After trailing 36-17 at the intermission, Buffalo State attempted to rally in the final 20 minutes, but could not overcome the deficit.

Jacey Brooks (Machias/Franklinville) added 13 points, and Marcy Dankovich (Celoron/Southwestern) chipped in eight points. Brooks was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Buffalo State fell to 4-6, and will travel to Geneva, NY on Tuesday for a date with William Smith.
