Women's Basketball Falls to St. John Fisher, 77-64

Buffalo State led St. John Fisher 34-30 at halftime, but the Cardinals opened the second half with a 23-10 run to propel themselves to a 77-64 victory tonight at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.

Trisha Tofany (Livonia/Livonia) led St. John Fisher with 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Kelly Nash (Syracuse/W. Genesee) also scored 16 points and Melissa Hartman (Middleville/W. Canada Valley) chipped in 12 points. Buffalo State had four players score in double figures, led by Monique Hanks (Liverpool/Liverpool) and Jacey Brooks (Machias/Franklinville) who each scored 14. Hanks added 13 rebounds. Beth Hogan (Great Valley/Salamanca) added 13 points and Tawan Slaughter (Buffalo/Christian Central) scored 10.

St. John Fisher is now 3-0. Buffalo State fell to 1-2 on the season and will open its SUNYAC schedule at home on December 2 against Oswego.
