Women's Basketball Season Ends at Oswego, 80-61
Buffalo State's season came to an end tonight with a loss at top-seeded Oswego (23-2), 80-61, in the SUNYAC Quarterfinals.
The Lakers jumped out to a 24-10 lead and went into the intermission with a 51-30 advantage. Oswego extended its lead to as many as 30 points in the second half before cruising to the 19-point victory. Oswego shot 47-percent from the field, compared to 35-percent shooting by Buffalo State.
Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) led the Bengals with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Toya Parks (Brooklyn/MLK) had a career-high 15 points, and Jacey Brooks (Machias/Franklinville) added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Kelly Mraz led the Lakers with 21 points. Lacey Kimpland and Sarah Lombard added 16 and 12 points respectively.
Buffalo State finished the season 9-17.
