Buffalo State earned its first shutout of the season, as it blanked ECAC-West-rival Chatham (0-18-0/0-12-0), 6-0, in the season finale for both teams today at the Ice Arena.

Mary Cohen (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) led the Bengals with two goals. Jessica Thieme (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) and Jamie Overbeck (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) each had a goal and an assist. Jen Trees (Clear Lake, IA/Clear Lake) and Sarah Kelly (Portland, ME/Tilton School) also scored for Buffalo State, and Leah Eyerman (Mountaintop, PA/Wyoming Sem.) had three assists.

Shannon Anesetti (Cannonsburg, PA/Caron-McMillan) needed to make just six saves for her first career shutout.

Buffalo State finishes the season 5-13-1 overall and 2-10-0 in ECAC West play.
