Women's Hockey Blasts Castleton State, 6-1
Buffalo State skated past Castleton State, 6-1, today in a non-conference game in Castleton, NH.
Nicole Jewell (Fenton, MI/Lake Fenton) and Jessica Thieme (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) speared the Bengals' offensive explosion with two goals and an assist each. Mary Cohen (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) had a goal and two assists, and Jackie Blanchard (Delmar/Bethlehem) also had a goal and an assist for Buffalo State. The Bengals outshot Castleton, 29-17. Meredith Larsen (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) made 16 saves in goal for the win.
The Bengals improved to 3-7-1 overall and will return to ECAC West play next Saturday at Neumann.
