Women's Hockey Drops Game to Cortland
Buffalo State fell 6-1 to Cortland in a non-conference meeting earlier this evening at the Ice Arena.
Tara Ostempowski (Lancaster/Lancaster) scored her first goal of the season midway through the first period, off a pass from Jamie Overbeck (Tonanwanda/Kenmore East). It would be the only marker for the Bengals, as the Red Dragons would go on to score six goals throughout the game. Meredith Larsen (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) and Shannon Anesetti (Cannonsburg, PA/Caron-McMillan) combined to make 23 saves between the pipes for the Bengals.
The Bengals return to the ice tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. when they face the Cortland Red Dragons again, at the Buffalo State Ice Arena.
