Buffalo State was unable to capitalize on 12 power plays, as it was defeated by the Cortland Red Dragons (2-1/0-1) for the second day in a row. The Bengals fell 4-2 this afternoon at the Ice Arena.

The Red Dragons struck first, but the Bengals tied the game on a goal by Jessica Thieme (Roselle, IL/Lake Park), her third of the season. Tara Ostempowski (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) was credited with the assist. Early in the second period, Buffalo State jumped out in front. Jamie Overbeck (Tonawanda, NY/ Kenmore East) found the back of the net off a pass from Amanda Uschold (Rochester, NY/Brighton). It wouldn't prove to be enough, as the Red Dragons would go on to score three unanswered goals.

Buffalo State falls to 2-2 overall. The Bengals will travel to RIT Wednesday, Nov. 10 to take on the Tigers at 7 p.m.
