Women's Hockey Falls to No. 2 Plattsburgh, 4-0

BUFFALO, NY—No. 2 Plattsburgh (16-2/10-1) scored four goals in the first period, including two in the first two minutes, to defeat host Buffalo State (5-8-3/3-8-2), 4-0, in an ECAC West contest today at the Ice Arena.

Stephanie Moberg opened the scoring for the Cardinals just seven seconds into the game with an assist from Danielle Blanchard. Kate Fairfield, Megan DiJulio and Lindsay Brown also tallied goals for Plattsburgh in the first frame.

Plattsburgh outshot Buffalo State, 43-17. Shannon Anesetti (Canonsburg/Canon-McMillan) had 39 saves in the loss for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will honor its seniors before tomorrow’s face-off with Plattsburgh at 2 p.m.
