Women's Hockey Rallies Past Southern Maine, 3-2
Buffalo State (2-0) scored the final three goals of the game to come from behind for a 3-2 victory today at Southern Maine.
The Huskies jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Samantha Simpson (Faibanks, AK/West Valley) pulled the Bengals within a goal before the second intermission. Leah Eyerman (Mountaintop, PA/Wyoming Seminary) evened the score just 2:41 into the third period, and Nicole Muszynski (Southgate, MI/Southgate Anderson) notched the winner with just over eight minutes to go. Sara Sharp (Dearborn, MI/Ladywood) added a pair of assists in the win.
Buffalo State will travel to Flint, Mich., next weekend for a pair of games against Finlandia on Friday, and Lake Forest on Saturday.
