Women's Hockey Skates Past Chatham, 4-1
Jamie Overbeck (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) scored two goals as Buffalo State defeated Chatham (0-16) in an ECAC West conference game this evening at the Ice Arena.
Overbeck opened the scoring at 9:03 in the first period on a power-play goal. Sarah Kelly (Portland, ME/Tilton School) netted the game winner in the second period, while Overbeck and Jen Trees (Clear Lake, IA/Clear Lake) each added a goal in the third period. Amanda Uschold (Rochester/Brighton) and Jessica Thieme (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) registered three and two assists, respectively.
Meredith Larsen (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) made 10 saves as the Bengals out shot the Cougars 52-11.
The Bengals finish their season tomorrow when they face Chatham again at 1 p.m. at the Ice Arena.
