Women's Hockey Tops Chatham to End Season
PITTSBURGH--Jamie Overbeck (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) scored twice and Buffalo State (7-14-2) defeated host Chatham, 2-1, today in the season finale.
Overbeck scored two goals within 4:44 of each other early in the second period to provide the Bengals with all the offense they would need. Mary Cohen (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) assisted on both. Chatham pulled within one with 2:29 remaining in regulation, but Buffalo State held on for the victory.
The Bengals outshot Chatham 27-15, as Rachel Bennett (Howell, MI/Howell) made 14 saves for the win.
