Women's Hockey Trounces Chatham, 12-1

Buffalo State jumped all over Chatham for the second straight day today, taking another non-conference game, 12-1.

The Bengals took an 8-1 first period lead and then cruised from there. Amanda Uschold (Rochester) led the attack with a goal and five assists. Jamie Overbeck (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) added two goals and two assists. Jessica Thieme (Roselle, IL) and Sarah Kelly (Portland, ME) also each scored twice, and Gina Koch (Altomont), Kristin Shumway (Hamden, CT), Linda Mleczko (San Carlos, CA), Courtney Wagner (Connellsville, PA) and Emily Moore (Midwest City, OK) all added single markers for the Bengals. Buffalo State held a 48-16 advantage in shots on goal.

Buffalo State improved to 2-0 and will host the Buffalo Bisons Club in an exhibition game at home on Sunday.
