Women's Lacrosse Defeats Allegheny, 10-4

Buffalo State improved its overall record to 5-0 with a 10-4 non-conference win over Allegheny today at Coyer Field. Sophomore Leslie Perreault (Johnson City/Maine Endwell) led all scorers with a career-best six point effort, coming on four goals and two assists.

The Bengals took a 6-4 lead into halftime, and then came out and shut down the Gator offense in the second half to cruise to a 10-4 victory. Buffalo State freshman goaltender Katie Fels (Williamsville/Williamsville East) stayed perfect on the season with an eight-save performance. Sophomore Chelsey Frail (Hilton/East Rochester) kept her hot streak going scoring three goals in the game. Annie Tallchief (Perrsburg/Lakeshore) added two goals to her career totals and freshman Meagan Powers (Pear River/Pearl River) tallied a goal and six ground balls in the win.

Buffalo State will return to action on Saturday for a crucial SUNYAC tilt against Oneonta. The Bengals are set to battle the Red Dragons on Coyer Field at 1:00 p.m.
