Women’s Lacrosse Rolls Past Potsdam

POTSDAM, NY—Katie Henderson (Lakeview/ Frontier) matched a school record with eight goals and Buffalo State (6-2/4-0) remained undefeated in SUNYAC play with a convincing 19-9 win at Potsdam (4-5/1-3) today.

Katie Lyons (Williamsville/ Williamsville North) tallied three goals and three assists to bolster the Bengals attack. Shantel Ackley (Baldwinsville/ CW Baker) had two goals and an assist, Erin Silky (Liverpool/ Liverpool) scored twice, and Jennifer Tierney (Massapequa/ Massapequa), Stephanie Georgopoulos (Pt. Jefferson Station/ Comsewogue), Marilyn Kush (E. Aurora/ E. Aurora) and Liz Eddy (Albany/ Colonie) also scored for the Bengals.

Buffalo State led 8-5 at the intermission and pulled away in the second half. Ashley O’Brien (Lima/ Honeoye Falls) made seven saves in the win.

Buffalo State will play at Cortland next Saturday in a battle of the league’s only two remaining unbeatens.
