Women's Soccer Blanks Potsdam, 4-0
A pair of goals each by Missy Balling (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) and Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) propelled visiting Buffalo State past Potsdam, 4-0, today.
Balling opened the score with an unassisted tally in the game's eighth minute. Monaco extended the lead just under seven minutes later. The pair each scored again within 1:29 of each other early in the second half to put the game out of reach. Monaco also added an assist, as did Keriann Clausen (Santa Rosa, CA/Ursuline) and Madeline Morosey (N. Collins/N. Collins). Kaleigh Baker (Canisteo/Canisteo) and Jamie Abbott (Pulaski/Pulaski) combined for the shutout.
Buffalo State is now 6-5-1 overall and 3-3 in the SUNYAC and will play at Plattsburgh tomorrow.
