Women's Soccer Blasts Potsdam, 6-0
Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored three goals to lead Buffalo State (6-4-1/2-4) past visiting Potsdam (0-10-1/0-6), 6-0, today in a SUNYAC game at Coyer Field.
The Bengals built on a 2-0 lead with three goals in a span of 1:30 early in the second half and never looked back. Maddie Morosey (N. Collins/N. Collins) and Liz Jacobsen (Gresham, OR/Sam Barlow) each had a goal and an assist. Julia Spak (Liverpool/Liverpool) added a goal for the Bengals.
Buffalo State outshot Potsdam 32-7. Katie Melsert (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) needed to make just two saves for the shutout.
Buffalo State will host Plattsburgh tomorrow at 1 p.m.
