Women's Soccer Edges Oswego, 3-2
Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored all three Buffalo State goals, as the Bengals earned a 3-2 victory at Oswego today.
Monaco scored a pair of goals less than seven minutes apart late in the opening half. Oswego's Mauren Kasperek added two goals of her on in the second half, but Monaco answered with the game-winner in the 81st minute. Madeline Morosey (N. Collins/N. Collins) recorded two assists, and Missy Balling (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) had one. Katie Melsert (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) made nine saves for the Bengals.
Buffalo State improved to 5-4-1 and 2-2 in conference play. The Bengals will visit Cortland tomorrow at 1 p.m.
