Buffalo State (4-0-1) played to a 1-1 tie with Marietta, but eventually lost on penalty kicks today in the championship game of the Penn State Altoona Tournament.

The game was officially recorded as a tie, but went to penalty kicks to determine a tournament champion. Liz Jacobsen (Gresham, OR/Sam Barlow) tied a school record as she extended her consecutive-game scoring-streak to five games with the lone Buffalo State goal.

Jacobsen, Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls), Julia Spak (Liverpool/Liverpool) and Keriann Claussen (Santa Rosa, CA/Ursuline) all represented the Bengals on the All-Tournament Team.

Buffalo State will travel to Oneonta this Friday to kick off SUNYAC play.
