Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls) was named Buffalo State's Athlete of the Week.
The freshman scoring phenom continued to pace the Bengals, netting the first goal of the game in a 2-1 SUNYAC win over SUNYIT on Saturday. On Sunday, she tallied four goals and one assist in a 12-1 trouncing of Cazenovia. Monaco leads the Bengals with nine goals on the season, and is just four markers shy of tying a school record for goals in a season.
