The first half of the 2011-12 academic year was replete with events celebrating the Year of the Arts at Buffalo State—myriad art exhibits, musical performances, plays, and thought-provoking symposiums.
Although classes don’t resume until January 23, art lovers don’t have to hibernate. Buffalo State will offer arts-related events throughout the month. As part of Winterim, an annual series of workshops geared toward Buffalo State faculty, staff, and their families, participants can learn about art collecting, make origami flowers, and explore art at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. The campus also will host two ArtsExploration plays for children, a performance of music, poetry, and dance, and the annual Interior Design Student Art Show.
