Join Student Personnel Administration (SPA) alumni and students, as well as, new and seasoned professionals in Higher Education, for a powerful one-day symposium, Saturday, November 19, 2005, 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott. This year's conference will offer innovative workshops, networking, an awards ceremony/luncheon featuring the presentation of our Outstanding SPA Alumnus of the Year Award and a SPA Alumni Reception. Dr. George Kuh, Chancellor's Professor of Higher Education and Director, Center for Postsecondary Research at Indiana University Bloomington, will be the keynote speaker.

If you are interested in submitting a nomination for the 2005 Outstanding SPA Alumnus of the Year Award, please contact the Alumni Affairs Office at (716) 878-6001, (800) 672-2722 or alumni@buffalostate.edu. This award recognizes Buffalo State SPA graduates who work in Higher Education or other SPA related fields. Areas of eligibility include: Professional experience, professional accomplishments, professional development, community service and service to the SPA program. The deadline for 2005 nominations is September 26, 2005; however, nominations are accepted year-round and considered for a maximum of three years.

To submit a program proposal for the SPA Professional Conference, visit http://www.buffalostate.edu/gaspa/x661.xml to download a "Call for Programs" form. October 7, 2005, is the deadline date for program proposal submissions.

Pre-registration fees (before October 15) are $50 for professionals and $35 for students. After October 15, the registration fees are $60 for professionals and $45 for students.
